I have an interest in evidence-based research on child welfare, especially ways to decrease family violence, interventions that increase family functioning, and ways to help children heal from abuse and neglect.
I have always enjoyed reading research reports. My blog contains short summaries of the research I read about child welfare with links to the full articles.
I currently work as the Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Contra Costa County. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I have a Master's of Social Work (MSW) from California State University East Bay, and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature from Rutgers University.
